Portland Timbers Announce Bank of America as New Front-of-Shirt Sponsor – Sports activitiesLogos.Net News

The Portland Timbers are banking on success with a new front-of-shirt sponsor starting with the 2026 season.

The Major League Soccer side announced earlier this week that Bank of America would take over the space on the front of their jerseys, with former front-of-shirt sponsor Tillamook moving their logo to the Timbers’ sleeves.

“We’re proud to welcome Bank of America to the Timbers family, and together we are committed to making meaningful impact in our community. Bank of America’s investment goes beyond the Timbers; it’s an investment in the city of Portland. This partnership will provide valuable resources and opportunities for youth in sports, local small businesses, public schools and more.”

Both logos will be set in gold on the Timbers’ dark green primary kits in 2026. These primaries, with tree rings radiating out from under the Timbers crest on the left chest, were introduced ahead of the 2025 season and aren’t due to be replaced until 2027. Portland will, however, have a new secondary jersey for 2026.

“The Timbers are a tremendous asset to Portland, and this partnership is an opportunity to strengthen ties in the community and create meaningful economic impact across the region. Our collaboration goes well beyond the pitch, as we build programs that create greater access for youth to experience soccer and deliver lasting benefits throughout the community.”

From the time they joined MLS in 2011 to 2023, Alaska Airlines was the Timbers’ front-of-shirt sponsor. After the 2023 season, the club announced that home improvement company DaBella would take over that space, but they only played one MLS match with that logo on their shirts. The sponsorship agreement was terminated after a lawsuit was made public in February 2024 that threatened to expose sexual harassment allegations against high-level executives at the company.

Three months later, the Timbers announced they’d struck a multi-year deal with Tillamook, a farmer-owned dairy cooperative based in Oregon, and debuted the company’s logo on their shirts in a match against their fierce Pacific Northwest rivals, the Seattle Sounders.
