Seven months after their meeting in Super Bowl LX, the defending champion Seattle Seahawks will kick off the 2026-27 NFL season by hosting the New England Patriots on Wednesday evening, with kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
With that, we’ve once again compiled an exhaustive list of every uniform, helmet, logo and field change that has taken place across the league this season, starting with the AFC and broken down alphabetically by division below.
But before we dive into the team-by-team breakdowns, we must note a few changes that impact the league as a whole, starting with the logo for Super Bowl LXI, which takes place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on Feb. 14, 2027.
The logo follows the same template as the previous five Super Bowls, with the Vince Lombardi Trophy placed among Roman numerals that include some local flavor and a bright color scheme.
This practice started the last time that SoFi Stadium – home of the Los Angeles Chargers and Rams – hosted the event, as there were palm trees scattered among an orange-to-yellow gradient sunset effect for Super Bowl LVI.
This season’s design, naturally, maintains the Southern California sunset motif but incorporates a breaking wave design into the numerals, using various shades of blue and green for the ninth Super Bowl hosted by the Los Angeles area.
That includes the first AFL-NFL World Championship Games (retroactively known as Super Bowl I) and VII at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, as well as Super Bowl XI, XIV, XVII, XXI and XXVII at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
Meanwhile, the NFL will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with several in-stadium tributes, including painting “Never Forget” in the back of the end zones for every Week 1 game.
Players and coaches will also wear NYPD, FDNY and PAPD hats during Sunday night’s game between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants oin recognition of the first responders who served on Sept. 11 and the days that followed.
Additionally, we’ve received clarification on the NFL’s rules for alternate and throwback uniforms after some teams appeared to exceed the limit in 2025, as wearing an alternate helmet with either their home or road jerseys does not count toward said limit of four.
We questioned the rules late last season after the Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, New Orleans Saints and Philadelphia Eagles deviated from their primary home or road designs for a fifth time. That question has now been answered and creates the possibility of other never-before-seen combinations being worn this year.
Lastly, the eight teams in the AFC South and NFC North – including the Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings – unveiled new community-inspired Nike “Rivalries” uniforms earlier this month.
The uniforms, which bring to mind MLB’s City Connect and the NBA’s City Edition programs, will be worn during a home game against a divisional opponent and will remain in the team’s rotation for three seasons, which would conceivably allow them to be worn against a different opponent each year.
The program, which resulted in Fanatics’ highest-selling product launch ever when the AFC East and NFC West unveiled their uniforms last season, will expand to the AFC West and NFC East in 2027 and the AFC North and NFC South in 2028, marking the first league-wide uniform promotion since Color Rush designs debuted in 2015.
All that said, let’s take a look at all of this year’s changes…
Buffalo Bills
The Bills unveiled new gray “Nickel City” alternate uniforms and logo-inspired royal blue alternate helmets, which will be worn against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 27 and Chicago Bears on Dec. 19. They’ll also wear their “Rivalries” uniforms against the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 22, red throwback helmets with their white road jerseys at the Denver Broncos on Christmas Day and red alternate jerseys in the regular season finale against the New York Jets on Jan. 10. The Bills scrapped their “Standing Buffalo” throwback uniforms to make room for the “Nickel City” design and also unveiled a commemorative logo to celebrate their first season at new Highmark Stadium.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins will wear the home version of their 1966 throwback uniforms at the New York Jets on Oct. 25, the road version against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 13 and their “Rivalries” uniforms against the Buffalo Bills on Jan. 3.
New England Patriots
The Patriots will wear their “Pat Patriot” throwback uniforms against the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 11 and Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 10, while their “Rivalries” design will return against the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 6.
New York Jets
The Jets introduced a new white alternate helmet that will debut as part of a “White Out” against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 20. They’ll also wear their “Classic” throwback uniforms against the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 25 and Gotham City-inspired “Rivalries” threads against the New England Patriots on Dec. 27, though they have not yet announced when their all-black alternate design will make an appearance.
Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens unveiled new home and road uniforms, as well as two new alternate designs, marking the first significant overhaul to their primary look in franchise history. The new “Purple Rising” alternate uniforms will debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 5, while their “Darkness Falls” set will make an appearance against the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 16. They’ll also wear a new combination, pairing their purple alternate helmets with their white jerseys and pants against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 20.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals will “Open in Orange” for the third-consecutive home opener, pairing their standard helmets and orange alternate jerseys with white pants when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 13. They’ll also play two games in their “White Bengal” alternate threads, including Nov. 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dec. 31 against the Baltimore Ravens.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns have not yet revealed their uniform schedule for the season, though they have white alternate helmets and their all-brown “Alpha Dawg” set among their wardrobe options. They notably paired the white helmets with their white road jerseys and orange pants in one game last season.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have confirmed their 1933 throwback uniforms will return for the 2026 season, though they have not announced when they’ll be worn. They’ll also presumably revive their all-black Color Rush uniforms for a late-season matchup, as has been the case in recent years.
Houston Texans
The Texans are celebrating their 25th season and will wear a commemorative logo patch on their jerseys this year. That includes their “Battle Red” alternate uniforms, which will be worn against the New York Giants on Oct. 25, and their “H-Town Blue” Color Rush set, which will return against the Tennessee Titans on Jan. 10. They also revealed their new Houston-inspired “Rivalries” design, which will debut against the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 19.
The all-white uniforms feature their secondary “H” logo on the helmets, metallic chrome details inspired by the city’s custom car scene, a graffiti-style number font pulled from the “Be Something” bridge and an “H-Town Blue” street tile pattern incorporated into the stripes, nameplate and helmet bumpers.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts will debut their anvil-inspired “Rivalries” uniforms against the Houston Texans on Sept. 27. The dark gray (or anthracite) uniforms integrate the grommets from their iconic horseshoe logo – which is featured in the design of their jerseys for the first time – into the oversized UCLA stripes on the shoulders, while the reflective numbers and stripes match their new metallic blue helmets. They’ll also host another “White Out” against the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 8 and wear their “Indiana Nights” alternate uniforms against the Cincinnati Bengals on Dec. 27.
Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars have not revealed if they’ll wear their “Prowler” throwback uniforms this season, which is a surprise since they broke them out four times last season. Perhaps that an indication that a new throwback-inspired primary design is on the way, especially after the Tennessee Titans shelved their Oilers throwbacks in 2025 as they headed toward a redesign this offseason. They recently posted a photo to social media that only showed their teal home, all-black alternates and white road uniforms, furthering that speculation.
Meanwhile, the Jaguars will wear their “Rivalries” uniforms against the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 1. They feature the first teal helmets in franchise history, “sun-washed” alabaster jerseys with a cursive “Jaguars” wordmark, sublimated spots in the custom number font and matching black pants with throwback-inspired stripes down the sides. Names of various neighborhoods in Jacksonville are also hidden among the spots.
Tennessee Titans
As mentioned, the Titans unveiled new home and road uniforms this spring that combine the Houston/Tennessee Oilers’ light blue and red color scheme with several Nashville-inspired details, including guitar string stripes. That motif was then carried over to their “Rivalries” uniforms, which will debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 15.
The navy blue uniforms feature a “Music City” wordmark above a number font that mimics the neon lights on Broadway Street, as well as vibrating guitar string stripes on the sleeves of the jerseys, down the sides of the pants and center of the new light blue helmets. All three designs feature their updated logo, which – as seen above – removes the flames that have trailed the roundel since the franchise adopted the Titans nickname.
Denver Broncos
The Broncos will wear their “Orange Crush” throwback uniforms twice this season, including Oct. 15 against the Seattle Seahawks and Jan. 10 against the Los Angeles Chargers, as well as their navy blue alternate jerseys with navy blue helmets against the Los Angeles Rams on Sept. 26. Meanwhile, they’ll wear their white alternate helmets with their white road uniforms in the season opener at the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 14, as well as with white helmets with navy blue jerseys on Christmas Day against the Buffalo Bills.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs are the only team in the NFL without a true alternate or throwback design in their current uniform rotation, but they have worn white pants with their white road jerseys at least once every season since 2021 and we expect that trend to continue this year. Looking ahead, however, they’ll be among the teams adding to their wardrobe next season with the four AFC West teams getting new “Rivalries” designs.
Las Vegas Raiders
Similarly, the Raiders are pretty straightforward with their uniforms, but they do have the option to wear their silver number throwbacks at some point this season. They’re typically worn during one road game against a divisional opponent. Additionally, if the preseason is any indication, the Raiders will continue to paint one end zone at Allegiant Stadium black and the other silver, as they did in five of their final six home games last season.
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers announced their uniform schedule for the entire season and are set to wear their navy blue “Super Charger” alternate uniforms three times, including Nov. 8 against the Houston Texans, Nov. 29 against the New England Patriots and Jan. 3 against the Kansas City Chiefs. They’ll also wear their gold “Charger Power” alternate jerseys, though this time with white pants, at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Dec. 6 after debuting them with gold pants last year. Meanwhile, their light blue home and white road jerseys will be complemented by a mix of white, gold and powder blue pants, which were also new in 2025.
Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys will wear their “Arctic Cowboy” Color Rush uniforms three times this season, including Sept. 20 against the Washington Commanders, Oct. 26 at the Philadelphia Eagles and Dec. 27 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. They’ll also revive the combination of white helmets, navy blue jerseys and white pants that debuted last Christmas when they play at the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 8, as well as their 1960s throwback uniforms for the fifth consecutive Thanksgiving when they host the Eagles.
New York Giants
The Giants will celebrate the 40th anniversary of their victory in Super Bowl XXI by wearing their “Legacy” throwback uniforms against the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 4, as well as against the San Francisco 49ers on Dec. 6. They’ll also wear their throwback “Vintage White” Color Rush uniforms three times – which are now paired with navy blue helmets – in consecutive weeks at the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 8 and against the Washington Commanders on Nov. 12.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are scheduled to wear their Kelly Green throwback uniforms just twice this season, including Nov. 8 against the New York Giants and Christmas Eve against the Houston Texans. They’ll also wear their all-black alternate uniforms against the Seattle Seahawks on Dec. 19, leaving one spot open for the alternate or throwback threads to be worn. It also wouldn’t be a surprise to see them pair their black helmets and pants with their white road jerseys for the third straight season after doing so against the Green Bay Packers in Brazil in 2024 and at Lambeau Field in 2025.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders unveiled new burgundy home and black alternate uniforms to complement the Redskins-inspired design they wore in select games last season, which have now been promoted to full-time road status. It’s effectively a return to their 1979-2021 design but will feature their primary “W” logo on the sides of the helmets instead of their old mark.
The black “Hail Raiser” design, meanwhile, features the Commanders’ new secondary logo on the sides of the helmet, combining their primary mark with a gold spear as a callback to their 1965-69 lids. The black uniforms will be worn twice, including Nov. 23 against the Cincinnati Bengals and Dec. 20 against the Atlanta Falcons. They also have new gold pants that will be worn with the burgundy home or white road jerseys during select games, though that won’t be announced until the week of.
Chicago Bears
After not wearing anything other than their standard blue home or white road jerseys in every game last season in honor of late matriarch Virginia Halas McCaskey, the Bears have added new “Rivalries” uniforms to the fold this year. The uniforms, which will be worn on Christmas against the Green Bay Packers, are inspired by their “Monsters of the Midway” throwbacks but feature three vertical stripes on the sleeves.
They’re also paired with their orange alternate helmets – which feature three stars from the Chicago flag on the back bumper – and new orange pants for a modern take on the design. It’s unclear if the orange helmets or pants, which have actually been an option for the Bears for several seasons but had not been worn, will appear in any other games this season. The same goes for their 1936 throwback threads.
Detroit Lions
While the Bears were rather conservative with their design, the Lions pushed some boundaries with their “Rivalries” uniforms, which will be worn on Nov. 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. The concrete gray uniforms feature subtle carbon fiber print in the racing-style numbers as a nod to the city’s automotive heritage, while the shoulder and pants stripes are pulled from the eye of their logo. The carbon fiber details also appear on the decals of their Honolulu blue alternate helmets, which are typically paired with their black alternate uniforms, though the Lions have not announced when those will make their way onto the field this season.
Green Bay Packers
The Packers’ “Rivalries” uniforms, which will debut against the Chicago Bears on Oct. 11, celebrate their unique community ownership, with desaturated green jerseys and stock certificate-inspired details and a number font that mimics the intricate lettering on paper currency. The alabaster helmets and pants also reflect the aged certificates and fix the striping issue that plagued their white alternate helmets, which apparently won’t be worn this season. Meanwhile, their 1923 throwback uniforms – complete with hand-painted “leather” helmets – will return against the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 13.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings will wear their “Purple People Eater” throwback uniforms in the season opener against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 13, while their “Winter Warrior” alternate threads will return for their Dec. 27 meeting with the Washington Commanders. Their new “Rivalries” design, meanwhile, will debut against the Detroit Lions on Dec. 20. The deep purple uniforms feature metallic gold and ivory accents, a new wordmark and number font inspired by rune carvings and Nordic-inspired stripes on the helmets, sleeves and down the sides of the pants that come to a point to symbolize a sword.
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons unveiled new uniforms this offseason, adding a few modern touches such as metallic silver accents and custom notches in the numbers to an otherwise classic design. The red home and white road jerseys feature a small wordmark across the chest and their current logo on the sleeves, while the white and black pants options feature a stripe that mimics the colors of said logo. But rather than add a new black alternate jersey that complements that look, the Falcons have decided to keep their 1966 throwback uniforms – which feature red helmets – in the rotation. They’ll be worn against the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 25 and Detroit Lions on Dec. 6.
Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are among the handful of teams that share a full season schedule for their jerseys, though specific helmet and pants combinations will be announced each week. They’ll wear their Process blue alternate jerseys in the opener against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 13, Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 25 and New Orleans Saints on Dec. 13, as well as their black jerseys in every other home game, making this the first season in franchise history that they won’t wear white at home at least once. They revealed they’ll wear their black alternate helmets with the Process blue jerseys against the Bears, though they were also worn with their black home and white road jerseys last season.
New Orleans Saints
Similarly, the Saints – who are celebrating their 60th season with a commemorative patch that favors the shield their mascot, Sir Saint, held in their 1967-84 alternate logo – revealed their full schedule, though they’ve noted which helmets will be worn that day, too. They’ll wear their white alternate helmets with their Color Rush uniforms three times, including Oct. 18 at the New York Giants, Nov. 29 at the Cincinnati Bengals and Dec. 27 against the Arizona Cardinals, marking their first appearance at home. New Orleans will also wear its black alternate helmets with gold jerseys against the Cleveland Browns on Nov. 8 and all-black against the Carolina Panthers on Nov. 15.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
While they only planned to wear the white road version of their creamsicle throwback uniforms in 2025 as they celebrated their 50th season, the Buccaneers have decided to wear them again against the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 6 due to overwhelmingly positive feedback from fans. They’ll also revive their all-pewter alternate uniforms after two seasons on the shelf for their Dec. 20 game against the New Orleans Saints, which means that the home version of their creamsicle throwback uniforms will be sidelined for the year after being worn at least once every season since 2023.
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals will wear their all-black alternate uniforms twice in 2026, including Oct. 11 against the Detroit Lions and Nov. 29 against the Washington Commanders. They’ll also wear their “Rivalries” uniforms against the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 20, repeating last year’s matchup, while their all-red home and all-white road uniforms will appear in every other game this season, as they’ve refused to mix-and-match jerseys and pants options since their current set was unveiled in 2023.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams unveiled updated home and road uniforms that follow the same template as their dark navy blue “Rivalries” uniforms, with yellow horns that wrap around the shoulders and royal blue sleeve caps, while also removing the gradient pattern from their number font that was introduced in 2020. They also tweaked their logo and scrapped their bone-colored alternate threads as part of the redesign, which includes new yellow, blue and white pants with a two-color striping pattern.
Additionally, the Rams introduced two throwback-inspired alternate uniforms, including a “Fearsome White” set that mimics the road uniform worn by the “Fearsome Foursome” from 1964-72 and “Classic Sol” uniforms that honor the 75th anniversary of their 1951 NFL Championship team, though both helmets the franchise’s current horn design and other modern touches.
The “Fearsome White” set will debut when the Rams host the Green Bay Packers in the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game on Nov. 25, while they’ll wear the “Classic Sol” uniforms against the New York Giants on Sept. 21 and the Kansas City Chiefs on Dec. 3. They’ll also wear their aforementioned “Rivalries” design at the Seattle Seahawks on Christmas Day, marking the first game where both teams wear their community-inspired threads.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers will celebrate their 80th anniversary by wearing a commemorative patch on their jerseys, though it’s rather simple compared to their previous anniversary (or season) marks, with a red ribbon that displays “YEARS” protruding from the No. 80, while the 49ers’ logo and “EST. 1946” sits just beneath the digits. They’ll wear the home version of their 1994 throwback uniforms at the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 15 and against the Philadelphia Eagles on Jan. 3, while the road set will be worn at the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 17. They’ll also wear their all-black “Rivalries” design against the Los Angeles Rams on Dec. 13.
Seattle Seahawks
And finally, we already mentioned the Seahawks will wear their “Rivalries” uniforms against the Los Angeles Rams on Christmas Day. They’ll also wear their 1990s-era throwback uniforms three times, including at the Denver Broncos on Oct. 15, as well as home dates against the Kansas City Chiefs on Oct. 25 and Dallas Cowboys on Dec. 7. Additionally, their new ownership group announced on Wednesday that the franchise will wear the road version of the throwback uniforms in 2027, something we previously reported was originally set to happen in 2025 but was ultimately delayed. So, we’re never wrong, just sometimes early.
