Probably Stolen full walkthrough for Week 1

Probably Stolen is one of those games that gives you a task that is more like a chore in the real world but adds fun mechanics to make things interesting. This game is a cyberpunk shopkeeping simulator where you must manage a store, purchase and sell goods, negotiate with customers, and earn enough credits to cover their expenses.

Probably Stolen also introduces several mechanics, including scavenging, identifying counterfeit products, upgrading the shop, and managing faction relationships. The first week works as an introduction to these mechanics, and as you progress ahead, the game starts unfolding. This is a detailed guide for the first week to make sure you are the best shopkeeper in town.

Before starting, you must select a specialization and difficulty. The Apprentice specialization is recommended if this is your first playthrough, as it introduces the game’s mechanics with tutorials.

The game may sound simple but things can get confusing if you have no idea what you are doing. You can also select the Price Gouge difficulty if you find the challenge too hard to manage. With all that set, let’s get started with your first day as the shopkeeper.

Start by opening the shop’s shutter and pressing the green button near the recorder to call customers. Five customers will be waiting, with the Mentor arriving first to explain the trading system.

Read the Mentor’s notes and begin purchasing affordable goods, particularly food items. Check each customer’s Interests section on the transaction tablet to determine which products they want and how much they can spend.

A security agent will also provide a list of wanted criminals. Keep this document for future encounters. After serving everyone, close the shop and use the sleeping bag to end the day. Pay the electricity fee of five credits.

Day 2 introduces wholesale purchases and scavenging. The Mentor leaves a handbook containing useful information about buying products in bulk. Four customers will visit the store. Purchase discounted items when possible, but avoid spending credits on products that cannot be sold profitably.

The Mentor eventually gives you a bag and bandages, allowing you to visit the Dumping Grounds. Scavenging provides additional merchandise but carries the risk of injuries. You also lose one customer the following day after a scavenging trip. Collect valuable items within the available attempts and return to the shop.

Six customers are expected on Day 3. The Mentor introduces counterfeit identification and provides a magnifying glass. This is when you learn to inspect Hemingway cigarette packets for differences in their packaging, including the logo and seal. Always find any inconsistency so that you can confront the seller and negotiate a lower purchase price.

A wanted criminal named Arthur Lefleur may also appear. You can report him or accept his offer to improve your standing with the Revolution faction. The decision affects faction relationships, so consider which group you want to support before proceeding.

The Mentor introduces the labeler, which allows you to relabel counterfeit merchandise and increase its resale value. Use the device on previously purchased counterfeit products. Another customer may offer a suspicious packet that can be inspected and purchased at a discount.

Relabeled products can then be sold to suitable customers, particularly tourists and upper-level citizens. Joe Wild also visits the shop and introduces his nightly protection service. You can decide whether to purchase protection against theft before ending the day.

Day 5 introduces the display case and its effect on customer visits. Continue trading with customers until the Mentor explains how the display system works. The items placed on display influence the types of customers attracted to the store.

You can also arrange the neon sign to influence customer visits. Before closing, remember to organize the display case according to the merchandise available in the shop. You can visit the Dumping Grounds again if you want additional stock, but this is an optional task.

The Mentor leaves two notes explaining bartering and store upgrades. During trading, you may encounter customers offering goods in exchange for other products instead of credits. Evaluate these exchanges according to the value of the items involved.

Dr. Jackson also introduces the Furnace, which converts scrap metal into ingots. Purchase the Furnace if sufficient credits are available. Insert an energy cell and at least two pieces of scrap metal to begin processing them overnight.

Giorgio might provide additional metal supplies later in the day. You can also visit Dr. Jackson after closing the shop.

Day 7 brings the first week to an end and introduces new opportunities for expanding the business. Nine customers are expected. Dr. Jackson can provide Furnace modules that you can install to improve your equipment.

Joe Wild introduces Wild’s Favours, a system that unlocks upgrades and business opportunities through faction relationships. You can prioritize shop improvements, including Showcase Expansion 1, depending on your resources.

The Mentor also explains how market events affect product prices. Increased supply can reduce the selling price of certain goods, making it important to monitor market conditions.

A premium merchant may appear with some valuable merchandise. Purchase items only when sufficient credits remain for essential expenses. The final objective is to pay the weekly rent. Once customers have been served and the required payment is completed, Week 1 ends, so that you can expand your business in Probably Stolen.
