Former Boston Purple Sox participant and 2004 World Sequence champion Dave McCarty has died after a “cardiac event” in Oakland, California.

McCarty was simply 54 years previous.

The Purple Sox introduced McCarty’s dying on Friday night in a submit on X.

The assertion continued, “Playing 3 seasons with the Red Sox, he will forever be a part of the curse-breaking 2004 World Series championship team. We send our love to his wife, Monica, and their children, Reid and Maxine.”

Born in Houston, TX, McCarty performed in 630 Main League video games with seven groups, together with the ultimate three seasons of his skilled profession with the Purple Sox from 2003-05.
