The Chicoutimi Saguenéens are being kind as they rewind their jerseys for their upcoming Vintage Night.
The Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League team will throw it back to the 1990s with period-appropriate light blue jersey when they host the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies at Centre Georges-Vézina on Friday, February 20.
The jerseys the Sags will wear on Friday are pretty faithful recreations of their jerseys from the ’90s. They’ve got a light blue base and Chicoutimi’s signature light blue, navy blue and white barberpole stripes on the shoulder yokes, along with a retro logo on the front.
White and blue stripes run around each sleeve, with the sleeve number going in between. A set of white and blue stripes also runs around the waist. The collar is light blue with a white insert at the front.
Names and numbers were not shown in any of the photos accompanying the jersey unveiling.
Friday’s game is the second game in two nights between the Huskies and the Saguenéens at the Centre Georges-Vézina and the second game of a five-game homestand for Chicoutimi. Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. ET, and the game will be streamed on FloHockey.
