Rajasthan Royals all-rounder claims beautiful double hat-trick in MLC 2026 [Watch]

Rajasthan Royals (RR) all-rounder Dasun Shanaka claimed a stunning double hat-trick while representing the Seattle Orcas in their Major League Cricket (MLC) 2026 clash against the Texas Super Kings. The match was played on Monday, July 6, in Pomona, USA.

Chasing 122, the Super Kings required 15 runs off the final over, with Shanaka entrusted with bowling for the Seattle Orcas. Shubham Ranjane started the over with a boundary before taking a single off the second delivery, reducing the equation to 10 runs needed off the last four balls.

On the third ball, Donovan Ferreira was bowled by a slower delivery. Calvin Savage then departed for a golden duck on the very next ball, hitting it straight to Shimron Hetmyer at long-on. Shanaka completed his hat-trick by dismissing Adam Milne, with wicketkeeper Tim Seifert taking the catch. The Sri Lankan all-rounder then made it four wickets in four balls by removing Amshi de Silva off the final delivery of the innings to complete a remarkable double hat-trick.
