Ravindra Jadeja removes Sarfaraz Khan and Shivam Dube in his first over in RR vs CSK IPL 2026 match [Watch]

Ravindra Jadeja starred with the ball on his comeback for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2026 match at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Monday, March 30. The left-arm spinner dismissed Sarfaraz Khan lbw off his second delivery before having the last laugh over Shivam Dube.

The dismissals came in the eighth over of CSK’s innings. Jadeja bowled a good length ball, and Sarfaraz went for a premeditated sweep shot but failed to get a connection with the bat. The ball hit him on the stomach while he bent down, and the on-field umpire didn’t look interested. Jadeja urged RR captain Riyan Parag for a review, and the latter obliged. The replays showed the ball would’ve crashed into the top of the middle stump. He looked pumped up after picking up the wicket.

Jadeja then bowled a tossed-up delivery to complete the over. Dube went for a big shot but miscued it straight into the hands of Ravi Bishnoi at long-off. The all-rounder completed revenge after the left-hander welcomed him with a six in the same over.

Ravindra Jadeja was playing his first match against CSK after being traded from the same franchise to RR ahead of the IPL 2026 auction. The 37-year-old took a pay cut of INR 4 crore (INR 14 crore salary) to join the Royals. In return, RR gave away Sanju Samson to the five-time champions.

Ravindra Jadeja took two quick wickets to leave CSK reeling in their IPL 2026 match against RR. While Sarfaraz departed for 17 (12), Dube walked back for 6 (4). Apart from Jadeja, Nandre Burger and Jofra Archer have picked up two wickets apiece. Burger got rid of Samson (6) before removing Ayush Mhatre for a golden duck. Meanwhile, Archer dismissed skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad (6) and Noor Ahmad.

At the time of writing, the Super Kings were 82/8 after 12.5 overs, with Jamie Overton and Matt Henry at the crease.

CSK are playing without MS Dhoni and Dewald Brevis due to injuries.
