The 12-episode fantasy business series premiered on May 30, 2026. In South Korea, episodes air on JTBC and become available on TVING shortly after. International audiences can stream them on Viu and Rakuten Viki with English subtitles.
Lee Jun-young stars in the dual role of Hwang Jun-hyeon and Kang Yong-ho (in the swapped body), with Son Hyun-joo as the original Chairman Kang Yong-ho. The supporting cast includes Lee Ju-myoung as Kang Bang-geul, Jeon Hye-jin as Kang Jae-kyung, and Jin Goo as Kang Jae-seong.
The story follows Kang Yong-ho, the self-made chairman of Choiseong Group known as the “God of Business.” After a car accident involving young soccer player Hwang Jun-hyeon, their souls swap.
In the younger body, Yong-ho joins his own company as a new employee. He partners with his secret youngest daughter, Kang Bang-geul, to investigate the accident, uncover corporate misconduct, and address the power struggles among his other children.
What to expect in Reborn Rookie episodes 7 and 8?
According to the official preview, the formation of the strategic planning team heightens tensions. Kang Jae-kyung becomes determined to stop the team from operating freely and tries to prevent any moves within the company. Meanwhile, Kang Bang-geul encourages her team during their first project, urging them to use every possible method so that Jae-kyung ends up begging them.
Yong-ho (in Jun-hyeon’s body) begins to show his true strength in front of Jae-kyung. He intimidates her by stating that he knows everything, including her responsibility for the hit-and-run accident. Cornered by the pressure, Jae-kyung appears to plan something.
Jae-kyung is seen having dinner with Na Byeong-mo. The meeting seems more like a negotiation where she proposes something, possibly connected to Bang-geul. It raises questions about whether Byeong-mo plans to eliminate her.
Elsewhere, Eun-se informs Jae-seong that Jae-kyung intends to take legal action against him regarding the incident involving their father. As tensions escalate between the siblings, Jae-seong decides he will not go down alone and vows to expose everything.
An incident draws a crowd of reporters blocked by police, leading to speculation about what might have happened to Bang-geul. Yong-ho issues a furious warning that anyone who touches his daughter will die, deepening the suspicions around the situation.
What happened in Reborn Rookie episodes 5 and 6?
In Reborn Rookie episode 5, Jae-kyung felt confident that the company atmosphere had shifted in her favor. Jae-seong grew increasingly frustrated as the leadership succession approached and his sister appeared to gain the upper hand. Yong-ho continued his investigations while maintaining his cover. This prompted Bang-geul to tease him about behaving like the lead in a spy movie.
Small financial discrepancies drew his attention, and secret searches hinted at emerging clues. Jae-seong pursued GF Solution aggressively, including kneeling before his father-in-law. Yong-ho countered with a strategic investment offer. Sibling tensions rose as Jae-kyung applied pressure on her brother, while Yong-ho made quiet moves to shift the balance.
Reborn Rookie episode 6 continued the momentum with Yong-ho pushing forward on secret plans to protect the group. The revelation of Jae-seong’s slush fund sent shockwaves through the company. Yong-ho and Bang-geul deepened their collaboration on undercover missions. Additional comedic and tense moments involved supporting characters, including interactions with Manager Park.
In the episode, during the board meeting, Kang Jae-kyung tries to get appointed as the new Chairman. However, Cho Sun-hui refuses it and states that Chairman Kang will be back soon, and Chairman Lee will remain as the acting Chairman.
Kang Jae-kyung is unhappy with this and affirms in front of everyone that she’s the next Chairman. But no one votes for her. Chairman Lee then talks about the high price of the GF Solution and states that a third party intervened in it. This made Jae-kyung nervous. Lee then proposes the reorganization of the Strategic Planning team under the Chairman‘s office to block external pressure. To this, the board votes for it.
Jae-kyung questions the passed motion. Just then, Chairman Lee introduces three teams and their leads. Team 2 is Trading Material, which includes Manager Park Bong-gi and Hwang Jun-hyeon, led by Casey Kang.
The episode ends with Casey revealing her real identity to the board members and introducing herself as Kang Bang-geul, the Chairman’s youngest daughter.
