Reputed insider Tom Henderson recently opined that the GTA 6 third trailer could release near the third earnings call of Take-Two Interactive, which will be sometime in August.
In a recent podcast on Insider Gaming YouTube channel, Henderson said that he still believes Rockstar Games will not release a new GTA 6 trailer before the summer marketing beats. He adds that the time window of the trailer will be sometime before Take-Two’s third earnings call.
Other members of the podcast discussed that the third earnings call usually occurs in August, and speculated that the trailer could drop a few days prior to hype up the game to the investors.
Here’s what the insider said:
“I’m still sticking to my guns from from what we said a few weeks ago is that I don’t think they’re going to release the next trailer until actual summer, which would be August or July. Literally a day before their next earnings call.” [Timestamp – 36:24]
Tom Henderson reminded everyone that GTA 6 has been hyped so much that Rockstar Games has the liberty to orchestrate the marketing campaign however they want. Since the hype is on cloud 9, it will not die down even if the trailers are dropped so close to the release.
He added:
“I know people said that’s probably too late, but listen, they can do what they want. It doesn’t matter when the trailer comes out.” [Timestamp – 36:51]
As of now, many fans are expecting some news about GTA 6 in mid-May, when Take-Two will hold their second earnings call of the year. However, none of this is confirmed since Rockstar Games has remained silent about the game for many months now.
Take-Two CEO confident of summer marketing beats for GTA 6
Back in February, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick announced that GTA 6’s marketing campaign will begin in the summer. This was a massive announcement since fans were eagerly waiting for new sneak peeks of the upcoming title. This news sparked speculations from reputed insiders like Tom Henderson, who opined that the third trailer could drop directly in the summer.
In an interview with The Game Business, Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed the marketing beats time window, saying that a comment from him tells a lot about how Take-Two and Rockstar Games are confident about GTA 6’s development.
Here’s what he said:
“We feel great about it. You know me pretty well, for me to even say we’ve got marketing beats coming this summer, is a huge departure from what I usually say, which is that our labels will make marketing announcements.”
GTA 6 is set to release on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation and Xbox.
