Rhea Ripley failed to win the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble match, and so did her tag team partner, IYO SKY. However, The Eradicator has confirmed that things are completely fine between RHIYO.
Ripley and SKY are the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. On the 5th January, 2026, episode of Monday Night RAW, they defeated The Kabuki Warriors to win the titles. They successfully defended the titles against Roxanne Perez and Liv Morgan at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIII.

Ripley, who entered the Women’s Royal Rumble Match at #22, was eliminated by Raquel Rodriguez. Meanwhile, SKY was eliminated by Lash Legend. Despite Ripley and SKY’s failure at the Royal Rumble, things are fine between the two. Taking to Instagram, The Eradicator confirmed the same with her message.
“RR 2026. No betrayals 🤭 still as close as ever!” wrote Ripley.

IYO SKY on her relationship with Rhea Ripley
IYO SKY opened up about her relationship with Rhea Ripley, stating that the two have been friends since 2018. She briefly opened up about their history in NXT and claimed that they are friends in the ring.
Speaking to Denise Salcedo, The Genius of the Sky had this to say:
“We’ve been friends since I joined NXT, which is 2018. Now it’s 2026, and it’s been eight years. She’s always been next to me, even in front of me, like against also as a tag team. We had so much history in NXT, and that’s why we are here, why not? We’re friends, we could be friends in the ring too.”
Ripley and SKY’s next defense of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships will be against Kiana James and Giulia. The SmackDown duo became the No. 1 contenders for the titles before RHIYO’s win over Roxanne Perez and Liv Morgan.
