Roman Reigns Breaks Character To Share His Honest Opinion Of Cody Rhodes

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are arguably the two biggest stars on the WWE roster. The OTC recently shared his honest opinion of The American Nightmare.

The Head of the Table recently spoke in an interview with Complex. The 41-year-old opened up about his role as Akuma in the upcoming Street Fighter real action movie, his future in the Stamford-based promotion, and more.

While speaking about top stars of the company, Roman Reigns praised his cousin, The Rock, for his work, calling him an anomaly. The World Heavyweight Champion added that it took him and John Cena a decade of work to establish themselves as the face of the promotion.

“Dwayne [Johnson] is the anomaly. He is the outlier. Nobody’s ever gonna do it like The Rock. As it’s been shown with John [Cena] and then also with me, it takes a decade or so,” Reigns said.

Reigns further revealed the qualities he looked for in talent who could carry the promotion over a long period. The OTC then praised his long-standing rival Cody Rhodes, stating that the star who beat him for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL was the only one of the current stars who had been able to carry the company.

“Can you perform every single time and then deliver when you’re asked? Can you do it when you’re tired? Can you do it when you’re sick? Can you do it when you’re hungover after WrestleMania? Can you carry the banner for this company? This is a billion-dollar machine. It’s not easy. There’s only been one who’s been able to carry that banner, and that’s been Cody,” he added. Roman Reigns received massive praise from WWE Hall of Famer

Last week on Monday Night RAW, Roman Reigns successfully defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Penta in a highly entertaining bout.

After the show, WWE Hall of Famer William Regal took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise Reigns for the way he sold Penta’s signature arm-breaker, The Sacrifice. Regal noted that the OTC’s facial expressions were on point.

“Look at the range of emotion on Roman’s face through this. He realizes he’s trapped, the looks to Penta just using his eyes while giving a perfect tv shot for the audience watching, then the fear as he knows he is in major trouble and his arm is going to suffer. Perfect reacting to the situation,” Regal wrote.

Roman Reigns is now set to defend his title against LA Knight. The two stars will lock horns at Money in the Bank.
