Royce Keys responds to Triple H following TV debut 10 weeks after becoming a member of WWE

Royce Keys finally made his WWE TV debut this past week on SmackDown. The former AEW star faced Berto in his first televised match for the Stamford-based promotion and emerged victorious in dominant fashion.

On X/Twitter, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H uploaded the traditional photo of him pointing at new talent in gorilla position after they have made their debuts or won major titles. Keys responded to The Game with a short message, acknowledging the good wishes from the creative head.

“Aight Then! #SmackDown,” he wrote.

Keys made his only WWE appearance before tonight’s episode of SmackDown at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, entering the Men’s Rumble Match. However, he wasn’t seen on television for nearly 10 weeks, and only worked dark matches during the past few editions of the Friday Night Show.

It now remains to be seen how he is positioned in the near future after debuting just a week before WrestleMania 42.

Royce Keys’ first WWE storyline teased in backstage segment after debut win

Royce Keys was interviewed by Cathy Kelley backstage after he defeated Berto in his first televised match on WWE SmackDown. The former AEW star paid tribute to his hometown and promised big things for the future before being interrupted by Solo Sikoa.

The MFT leader congratulated him on his victory and, surprisingly, told him that he ran things on the blue brand. Sikoa also welcomed Keys to ask for any help at all, in what was a surprising interaction.

The former United States Champion is close to being done with the Wyatt Sicks after Tama Tonga ensured that Uncle Howdy was able to retrieve the lantern last week. Perhaps this storyline could tie into Tama Tonga breaking out of the faction after the eight-man tag match next week and then forming an alliance with Royce Keys to battle Sikoa’s faction, especially considering the new star is a babyface.

It now remains to be seen how things are placed heading into WrestleMania 42. With the Andre the Giant Battle Royale set for next week’s edition of the blue-branded show, Keys might be one of the favorites to go on and win after his dominant debut.
