Sarfaraz Khan takes a surprising catch to dismiss dangerous-looking Naman Dhir for 57 in CSK vs MI IPL 2026 match [Watch]

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Sarfaraz Khan took a magnificent catch to get rid of Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Naman Dhir in the IPL 2026 match at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday, May 2. The 28-year-old wicketkeeper-turned-fielder moved to his left at extra cover and then leapt in the air with both hands to hang onto the catch while falling to the ground. As a result, Dhir departed for 57 runs off 37 balls, which included three maximums and four boundaries.

The dismissal came in the 17th over of MI’s innings. After being hit for a six off the previous delivery, Jamie Overton surprised the batter with a slower one, an off-cutter that held on the surface, and Dhir seemingly fell in the trap with the chance in pace. The right-hander tried to create room and went for a big shot, but miscued it towards extra cover.
