Shedeur Sanders makes emotions often known as Browns OL Wyatt Teller bids adieu to Cleveland

Shedeur Sanders will start the 2026 NFL season without one of his biggest defenders within the Cleveland Browns organization. He shared an Instagram post to announce the decision and thank fans and the organization for their support over the years.

Shedeur Sanders commented under the post, letting Teller know he would leave a void with his departure.

Similar to star tight end David Njoku, Wyatt Teller was grateful for his time in Cleveland and thanked the organization for believing in him during a tough time.

“To the most loyal fans in the NFL, I hope y’all know that you have made a mark on my family’s life forever. I proposed to Carly on the 50 yard line at the stadium, bought our first home here, and proudly welcomed both of our babies to the world in Cleveland.

“I’ve made friendships and connections on and off the field that will last far beyond the game of football. Our family is so blessed and grateful for everyone in Northeast Ohio who has supported and loved us these past seven years,” Teller shared. “While we are excited and look forward to what the future holds, Cleveland will always have a special place in our hearts. As always…Go Browns!”

Teller spent seven years in Cleveland following a trade from the Buffalo Bills. His departure leaves the Browns in a complex position. All five starting offensive linemen are headed toward free agency.

Wyatt Teller issued warning to Shedeur Sanders before 2026 NFL offseason

Before he decided to leave the Browns, Wyatt Teller discussed Shedeur Sanders’ future with the franchise. The veteran wanted to see the quarterback stay, but acknowledged that anything could happen.

“Like I said, you never know how the offseason shakes out,” Teller said. “As much as I love Shedeur, I focus on where I view his life and focused on mine and my family, there’s a lot that we all have to do going into the offseason. A lot of uncertainty and changes, so it’s going to be crazy.”

The Browns entered another offseason full of questions.
