Fans on social media have reacted to the increase in ticket rates for the 2026 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am after Travis Kelce played in the event. The Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end joined the stellar field of this week’s signature PGA Tour event.
The tournament features 80 professional players playing alongside amateur players. There was nearly $60,000 in additional ticket sales after the NFL tight end committed to the event, which fueled the speculation that his fiancée, Taylor Swift, might also attend the tournament.
Thanks for the submission!
NUCLR Golf shared the news on its X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday with a caption:
“#NEW — In the 12 hours that followed the announcement that Travis Kelce would play in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, there was nearly $60,000 in additional ticket sales fueled by speculation that Taylor Swift might attend.”
Fans jumped to the comments section to react to it.
“It’s a sickness,” a fan wrote.
“Taylor Swift effect = instant $60K ticket boost. Power couple magic,” another fan added.
“Kelce and Swift are such needle movers, this is wild. It probably doesn’t hurt that it’s at pebble beach as well. I don’t remember hearing this when he confirmed he was playing at waste management or maybe it did happen, but just wasn’t tracked the same,” a fan added.
Here are more fans’ reactions:
“I suspect many showed up just to see him. He has and always has had quite a draw,” a fan wrote.
“Maybe partially. A lot of people actually went to see Kelce. As people have gotten to know him, his fan base just for him being him, has grown immensely,” one more fan added.
“Never happened,” a fan said.
