South Korea vs Trinidad and Tobago Prediction and Betting Tips

South Korea ramp up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup when they play host to Trinidad and Tobago in a friendly at Utah’s South Field on Saturday. This will be the first meeting between the two nations since July 2004, when they played out a 1-1 stalemate in Seoul.

South Korea head into Saturday’s tie aiming to avoid a third consecutive defeat for the first time since June 2018, following their 1-0 friendly loss against Austria on March 31.

Before that, Myung Bo Hong’s men kicked off their schedule for the year with a humbling 3-0 defeat against Ivory Coast on March 28, a result which saw their run of three victories on their spin come to an end.

South Korea will look to find their feet and gather momentum before taking center stage at the World Cup, where they will aim to improve on their round-of-16 finish from 2022.

While South Korea have been drawn in Group A of the World Cup alongside South Africa, Czechia and tournament co-host Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago will miss out on the global stage, following a disappointing qualifying campaign, where they finished third in Group B with seven points from six matches.

Since then, Dwight Yorke’s side have lost each of their subsequent three games, including consecutive defeats against Venezuela and Gabon in March’s FIFA Series.

Trinidad head into this weekend’s matchup without a win in their last four friendly matches, suffering defeats against Saudi Arabia, Jamaica and Bolivia while playing out a 1-1 draw against Jamaica on February 10.
