Defending Italian Serie A champions SSC Napoli are once again ready for the spooky season with the unveiling of their annual Halloween kit.
Napoli launched the kit earlier this month on their website and social media channels. It’s the fourth time in the past five seasons that the club has rolled out a special design for All Hallows’ Eve.
This year’s edition features several spooky tonal motifs on a blue base that’s slightly darker than Napoli’s traditional home kit shade of light blue. Front and centre is a rib cage and spine on the front of the shirt, but that’s mixed with a forest scene with bats flying out of barren trees.

The design features a skeleton in the middle, representing the eternal relationship between the living and the dead, a reference to the tradition of adopting anonymous souls as an act of mercy and remembrance. The skeleton consequently becomes the element linking the Neapolitan tradition of the dead and today’s imagery of Halloween, a celebration that is now widespread across the world, but also reinterpreted from a Neapolitan perspective. The sides and the bottom part of the shirt feature dusky woods with flying bats, which evoke a gothic atmosphere that merges with the city’s mystic soul.

The print transitions to black sleeves, and the orange club crest on the left chest has glow-in-the-dark skeleton hands wrapping around it. The crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs are solid black, while accent panels under the arms and at the side hems are orange. The club name is spelled out in a custom orange font on the back collar. Sponsor logos on the front and back are also orange.

The same prints appear on an orange base for the goalkeeper jersey. Sponsor logos are rendered in black.

Napoli didn’t specify in their unveiling announcement which game they would wear the Halloween kits. They have two home fixtures scheduled around that time: Saturday, October 25, against Inter Milan and Saturday, November 1, against Como 1907.
