The TCU football program unveiled new uniforms on Monday morning, marking the first update to the Horned Frogs’ look since the 2019 season.

The uniforms are much simpler than their previous design, removing the contrasting collar and cuffs and the unique, scale-like design around the collar.

The custom number font and silver accents remain on the home purple, white road and black alternate uniforms, which still feature stripeless pants in the same colors.

The jerseys are complete with TCU’s logo at the base of the collar and “Carter Boys” in cursive on a tab on the back collar, a la the state outline on Minnesota’s new set

A nod to Amon G. Carter Stadium, “Carter Boys” was a weekly show on ESPN+ that gave fans unprecedented access to the Horned Frogs during the 2022 season.

With the update, TCU will now have glossy purple helmets for the first time since 2010, as well as glossy white, satin black, purple chrome and silver chrome options.

Both the satin black and purple chrome lids have a scale-like pattern, a design that initially appeared on the Horned Frogs’ 2009 Pro Combat helmets.

TCU notably wore purple chrome helmets from 2012-18 but has never worn silver chrome despite having various stints throughout school history with silver (or gray) helmets.

The new road uniforms will make their debut when the Horned Frogs travel to Palo Alto, California, to take on Stanford (10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN). TCU hosts LIU on Sept. 7, meanwhile.
