Texas DPS commitment to keeping the Lone Star State safe has been a top priority.
The DPS K-9 unit earlier this week tracked an illegal alien for nearly five miles through ranchland properties pursuing a “gotaway” from the previous night in Uvalde County. The DPS Mounted Patrol was also involved in capturing the illegal from Mexico, who was hiding in the brush. He was handed over to the Border Patrol to begin the deportation process.

Although numerous illegal aliens are still in the country waiting to be captured and deported, the number of illegal crossings has greatly diminished since President Trump sealed the border upon resuming office in January.
Texas DPS regularly shares the numbers for total illegal Southwest border crossings, which clearly demonstrate how effective President Trump’s border policy has been.
The numbers have dropped significantly looking at a daily analysis. February 22nd showed a total of 185 illegal crossings for the Southwest border and the 23rd was 191 illegal crossings. That is a major contrast to the number of illegals that came in under crooked Joe Biden.

Texas has been at the forefront of protecting the Southern border even when faced with hostility from the Biden regime. Operation Lone Star was launched in 2021 by Republican Governor Greg Abbott to deter illegal crossings and prevent illegal and dangerous drugs like fentanyl from coming into the United States. They have also found a strong ally in President Trump since both the State and Federal Governments are now working on the same side of the law.
President Trump’s common-sense approach is simply applying the US Constitution to protect the country. Article IV, Section 4 gives the United States Government the authority and responsibility to prevent an invasion of the country.
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.” Article IV, Section 4 of the US Constitution.
Rule of law is back.
