ONE bantamweight Muay Thai standout Lenny Blasi of Italy has a list of goals heading into The Inner Circle 28 on Friday, August 28. Beating Worapon Lukjaoporongtom is at the top.
Blasi faces Worapon in the main event at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, stepping onto the biggest stage of his ONE Championship career against one of the division’s most dangerous finishers. But the Italian’s ambitions extend well beyond Friday night.
His ONE Championship journey has included a third-round TKO loss to Suablack Tor Pran49, a defeat that has sat unresolved in the back of his mind ever since.

With Suablack now among the most respected veterans in the bantamweight division, Blasi feels the urgency to make that rematch happen sooner rather than later.
The Italian slugger says he won’t be shy if given the mic after this fight and will ask for the rematch.
“I want my rematch against Suablack. I will call him out after I win. I want to fight him, and I want it before he retires,” he told ONE in his pre-event interview.
“I want him to know, because I don’t want him to escape. He needs to face me again.”
Lenny Blasi targets a Worapon upset to elevate his own status
Beyond the Suablack chapter, Friday night carries a different kind of significance for Blasi.
Worapon has built genuine momentum and recognition in the bantamweight division across a stunning 2026 run, and the Italian has identified what a victory over him would mean beyond the result itself.
For Blasi, defeating a fighter with Worapon’s growing profile is not just a stepping stone. It is an opportunity to rewrite the narrative around his own career.
He told ONE Championship:
“If I beat him, I’m gonna steal his [popularity], you know. So for me it’s a great opportunity.”
