CM Punk made an appearance at Wrigley Field in a Chicago Cubs jersey and the fans went absolutely berserk. Punk also acknowledged fan favorite Pete Crow-Armstrong.
The Second City Saint has had a rough last few weeks. After losing his Undisputed WWE Championship to Sami Zayn, Punk has been riding the emotions. After being hard done by Kevin Owens the first time which cost him the title, CM Punk returned the favor last week on SmackDown when he attacked KO with the title to help Sami retain the title.

In the midst of all this, Punk took some time out to take his mind off wrestling and enjoyed some time playing a game of baseball. He was given the honor of throwing the first pitch as the Chicago Cubs took on the Miami Marlins at Wrigley Field.
The former WWE Champion came out wearing the jersey of fan favorite Pete Crow-Armstrong as the fans went berserk welcoming back their home town hero.
Sami Zayn praises CM Punk
Sami Zayn and CM Punk, despite being good friends, ended up becoming rivals after the two went head to head for the WWE Championship. Despite saying some bad things about each other, Zayn broke character to praise his rival.
Zayn was recently a guest on the Busted Open Radio podcast when he waxed lyrical about CM Punk. He said:
“There were times that Punk, to the levels he reached, I was like, ‘I don’t get how he reached these levels.’ Clearly, there is something about him, but I didn’t always get the hype. But after I got in the ring with him three or four times this year, you can’t take it away from him. Trust me, I would love to. I would love to just sit here and bash him for the next 10-15 minutes. But in the ring, I can’t take it away from him.”
It is clear to see that despite all the fights, there is still a lot of respect between the two stars.
