Tickets for the first leg of the BIGBANG 20th Anniversary Concert Tour went live on Thursday evening (June 25) and sold out within the record time of 22 minutes! The news surfaced on social media on Friday morning (June 26) and has since gone viral, with K-fans in a celebratory mood over it.
“The only group that paved the way for BTS and HyB. BigBang you are still biggest group in the world”
Here are more comments as fans express their admiration for the boy band:
Per The Korea Herald, over 210,000 concurrent users visited the ticketing website to purchase the concerts’ tickets. So far, only tickets for the first three shows have gone on sale. These will take place in the Goyang Stadium of Gyeonggi Province in South Korea, on August 21, 22, and 23.
The enthusiasm for BIGBANG’s upcoming tour is surprising, especially since it’s been ten years since they dropped their last album, Made Series (2016). It will also mark the first time that the band has reunited for a tour in the last nine years.

“The landmark tour represents one of the most significant live music events of 2026 for global fans and a historic new chapter for one of the most influential groups in modern music.”
While the boy band – consisting of Daesung, Taeyung, and G-Dragon – hasn’t made any formal declaration so far, there is speculation of a new album, or at least new music, dropped on their upcoming tour.
BIGBANG was originally a five-member band when it formed back in 2006. However, with Seungri’s retirement from the industry in 2019 and T.O.P’s group exit in 2023, it became a trio. Despite that, BIGBANG is still considered the “Kings of K-Pop” and is believed to have started the Korean Wave internationally.
