“They serve the devil” – Jaden Ivey Reveals Family Rejection and Being Labelled as ‘Psycho’ in Emotional Video

Jaden Ivey‘s troubles are getting worse with each passing day. The Chicago Bulls waived the former Detroit Pistons guard on Monday following his controversial anti-gay remarks in one of his recent Instagram livestreams.

Ivey called the NBA and those who support Pride Month unrighteous. His remarks were not well received by the league, the fans or even within his own family. On Tuesday, Ivey shared a video on his Instagram account where he criticized his family for turning on him.

“Those who are around me, those who are my family members, betraying because of what I spoke the truth,” Ivey said. “Betraying me. Saying that I’m losing my mind. Saying that I’m crazy. Saying that I don’t know the truth. These are my own family members who love me. My blood. Those who raised me, saying that I don’t know the truth. ‘Man, he’s psycho. He’s this, he’s that.’ Those are my own household.”

Later, he criticized his family members for serving the devil and not being on the righteous side.

“They serve the devil,” he said. “That’s why they don’t wanna stand for Jesus, for righteousness.”

He called out the NBA players for partying and said that there was no peace in going to clubs and fornication. The Bulls acquired Jaden Ivey, a former number five pick from the 2022 draft, in a three-team trade on Feb. 3. The former Pistons guard played only four games before he was sidelined for the season because of a left knee injury.

Jaden Ivey reveals his wife is not texting him

Jaden Ivey revealed that his wife has not been texting him back in another one of his Instagram livestreams. The former Pistons guard went on a religious rant in the livestream and during one of the segments, he talked about the rift between him and his wife due to the incident.

“My wife in here and she not even texting me,” he said.

For now, Jaden Ivey is an unrestricted free agent in the market. There is very little hope for him to be on an NBA team anytime soon, as he is injured and his controversy is sure to bring criticism to the team that offers him a contract.

The former Bulls guard played four games for Chicago before getting injured. He averaged 8.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game during the entire 2025-26 season.
