CM Punk addressed a blockbuster WWE return and in the process dropped a huge tease. This will surely set the tongues wagging and the fans talking.
Punk teamed up with Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano to take on Omos, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh at Worlds Collide in a trios match. For that particular match, the Second City Saint brought back an old gimmick of his, the Straight Edge Society mask and attire. He also walked out to his old theme song, This Fire Burns, much to the delight of the fans inside the arena.

His team ended up winning the match and afterwards, CM Punk took to Instagram to address the win and also dropped a huge tease. He wrote:
“I find myself overwhelmed once again. I dont have the words to properly express what it feels like to experience such a magical night. I want you to know my gratitude knows no bounds. I am nothing with the fans. Chicago. I love you. A perfect night. Cultures came together and we celebrated. One universal language. Wrestling. Thank you to everyone who came out. Sami Zayn praises CM Punk
Sami Zayn and CM Punk have been in the trenches for the last few months and their rivalry is only getting hotter. Despite all this, Sami Zayn recently broke character to praise his rival.
Speaking on an episode of Busted Open Radio, Zayn said that there is something about CM Punk.
“There were times that Punk, to the levels he reached, I was like, ‘I don’t get how he reached these levels.’ Clearly, there is something about him, but I didn’t always get the hype. But after I got in the ring with him three or four times this year, you can’t take it away from him. Trust me, I would love to. I would love to just sit here and bash him for the next 10-15 minutes. But in the ring, I can’t take it away from him,” he said.
Punk would have no doubt loved to hear these comments and will look to act on it to become an even better wrestler.
