“Today, I’m moving again” – Beloved star offers pressing medical replace; confirms she’s returning to AEW quickly

A popular AEW star has just given a positive medical update amidst her absence from the promotion. They have confirmed that they are set for an imminent return to the company.

Queen Aminata has not been seen since late October, when she and Jamie Hayter entered the Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament. Despite getting eliminated in the first round, she was set to be part of the first-ever Women’s Blood and Guts match a few weeks later. Unfortunately, she was pulled out as she was not medically cleared due to a neck injury.

She has been gearing up for her in-ring return and has been on a long road to recovery. Aminata took to X/Twitter to give an update on her health. She noted that 5 months ago, she was always in pain, but now she was moving freely once more and could now focus on completely rebuilding for her return to AEW.

See her post below.

“5 months ago, I could barely walk without pain. Training was impossible. Sleep was miserable. My neck and spine were on fire… but the hardest battle was mental. Today, I’m moving again. Pain free. Time to rebuild. 💪🔥” Aminata wrote.

Queen Aminata confirmed earlier this year that she signed an AEW contract extension

Queen Aminata has been appearing for the Tony Khan-led promotion and its sister company, Ring of Honor, since 2021. However, she only became All-Elite officially in 2024.

During a vlog on her YouTube channel a couple of months ago, she revealed that AEW extended her contract to February 2027. Despite her hiatus due to injury, she was in high spirits because of this.

“I’m so much happier now, so calmer. AEW extended my beautiful, juicy contract to February 2027. Even though my neck is messed up right now and I can’t wrestle, I’m very happy and very motivated.” [H/T Drainmaker on X]

Once she officially makes her return, she’ll have almost a full year with the company to make up for missed time. Aminata could look to pursue singles gold, or find herself a partner to go after the women’s tag team titles with.
