5) Riley Greene +386
Detroit Tigers’ Riley Greene was hitting at a season-best .335 with a .925 OPS on May 19. He has stumbled a bit with just three home runs, eight RBIs at a .223 pace since then.
But interestingly, seven of those eight RBIs have come in four games this month, when he has gone yard, including two games against the recently concluded series against the Minnesota Twins. He will fancy his chances against the Cleveland Guardians on Friday.
4) Fernando Tatis Jr. +367
Fernando Tatis Jr. walked it off for the San Diego Padres in the series finale against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday. It was just his second home run of the season so far.
But for a player like him, it shouldn’t take a lot of time to remain hot, especially after recording a .397 average and .975 OPS in his last 16 games. The Padres lineup will be up against Orioles starter Shane Baz (3-6, 4.09 ERA) on Friday.
3) Matt Olson +361
Matt Olson drove in three RBIs on two home runs in a win against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday. Already up to 19 home runs of the season, he is projected to breeze past the consecutive 29-homer marks he has set in the last two years.
The Braves’ first baseman is hitting .355 with a 1.060 OPS in the month. They are on the road to the New York Mets, who have Nolan McLean (3-4, 3.98 ERA) as their starter lined up.
2) Brandon Lowe +356
After blanking in the first game, Brandon Lowe had a pretty successful end to the series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. He recorded consecutive two-RBI nights, including a home run on Thursday in the series finale.
Lowe is on track for a career best in OPS, currently at .848, since the 2021 season. The Pirates have the edge over the Miami Marlins for the series opener.
1) Julio Rodriguez +277
Seattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez has one of the best matchups for Friday as they face the Washington Nationals, who will have Zack Littell (6-4, 4.76 ERA) on the mound to start.
Rodriguez is due for a hot streak of form. After hitting four home runs and nine RBIs in a six-game stretch at the end of last month, J-Rod has slowed down with just one homer and 3 RBIs in June.
