Kay Adams had Rob Gronkowski on the latest episode of “Up & Adams”. She asked the Patriots legend to choose between Drake Maye and Caleb Williams ahead of the Patriots vs. Bears Week 7 game.

Gronkowski picked Maye ahead of his 2024 draft mate. NFL fans had quite the reaction.

Rob Gronkowski highlighted Maye’s throwing and ability to process defenses as his reason for picking him over Williams.

“I just like the touch on his ball,” Gronkowski said.

“And I feel like at the end, Drake Maye would be, for me as a player, he would be the ideal quarterback.”

The New England Patriots and Chicago Bears are both 4-2 entering their Week 7 showdown. It will be Maye and Williams’ second meeting since they entered the league.

The Patriots emerged from their first meeting as 19-3 winners. The Bears will look to get sweet revenge as they welcome their opponents to Soldier Field for their Week 7 Thursday Night Football matchup.

Caleb Williams shone in return from hamstring injury

Caleb Williams suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings. Williams subsequently missed three games, with Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum steadying the ship in his absence.

Williams returned in Week 6 against the Atlanta Falcons. He threw for 305 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions on 30 of 36 completions, helping his team to an impressive 31-23 win.

Next up for Williams and Co. are the in-form New England Patriots. Last year’s Super Bowl runners-up are on a three-game winning streak, with their last loss occurring in Week 3 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Caleb Williams is looking to lead the Bears to yet another playoff run. Rob Gronkowski’s words could give Williams and his teammates extra fuel to take down the Patriots on Thursday night.
