Tony Khan made a huge revelation after Mercedes Mone was forced to be ruled out of the upcoming AEW PPV, All Out 2026.
Mercedes Mone suffered a major nose injury during her title match against Willow Nightingale at All In 2026. She was busted open early in the bout but still continued and delivered a stellar showdown en route to winning the AEW Women’s World Championship. The CEO continued to appear on television in the following weeks, although her nose was taped.
A few weeks ago on Dynamite, Excalibur publicly announced that Mone is not cleared to compete at All Out 2026. In a recent media call before the pay-per-view, Tony Khan revealed that Mone’s injury led to changes to the All Out plans. However, the AEW head honcho was also certain that Big D Mone would be back in action next month.
While Mone will not compete at All Out 2026, a huge match is set to determine the next No. 1 contender for her title at the event. Willow Nightingale will square off against Thekla, with the winner facing the CEO at AEW’s pay-per-view after All Out, WrestleDream 2026.
Former AEW star compared Tony Khan to Vince McMahon
Tony Khan and his team have given their blood, sweat, and tears to build AEW as a direct competitor to WWE in the last seven years. In a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, former AEW and WWE star John Morrison compared him to Vince McMahon, detailing the differences between working for both companies and appreciating how much Khan loves professional wrestling.
“You know I would compare Tony to Vince a lot, like Tony Khan probably could have done anything he wanted, anything, you know? That’s the freedom you get with that amount of money, but he’s a wrestling fan and decided he wanted to work in the business of professional wrestling and he also decided he wanted to work really hard because he does work really hard. He’s at all the tapings, and I sometimes think he’s a lot like Vince except with a good heart, if you know what I mean,” he said.
With All Out 2026 approaching, it remains to be seen if Khan can produce yet another blockbuster pay-per-view.
