Kevin Stefanski is out as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. The news broke on Monday, leaving Cleveland on the hunt for its next leader. However, it also puts Stefanski on his own search that could take him from one side to the country or the other. It could also keep him relatively close.
Here’s a look at the five teams that could make the most sense for the Browns head coach, starting with a familiar rival.

#5 – Baltimore Ravens
John Harbaugh’s future is unclear. However, if Harbaugh drags out his retirement decision into February and ultimately steps away, the Baltimore Ravens will need someone. Kevin Stefanski could still be available, and, as a head coach with more than half a decade of experience coaching against AFC North teams, Stefanski could get a one-year trial.
#4 – New York Giants
The New York Giants have been looking for a head coach for some time after moving on from Brian Daboll earlier this year. However, there could be a lot of competition to coach up Jaxson Dart, Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo. Stefanski is coming off a season that saw Shedeur Sanders show flashes, so Stefanski would be coming in well-practiced in dealing with young quarterbacks.
#3 – Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans find itself as one of the seemingly less desirable coaching jobs with a roster needing a large-scale rebuild aside from quarterback and Jeffery Simmons.
Kevin Stefanski could be an asset to get through a couple of seasons as the general manager stockpiles picks and young players to surround Cam Ward. Stefanski is coming off a season in which he worked with Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel, so he’s no stranger to dealing with young quarterbacks with high visibility.
#2 – Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons cut ties with Raheem Morris after Week 18, putting the team on the hunt. Aside from the odd quarterback situation, the floor with the team seems respectable.
If Atlanta takes time to find its new general manager and that manager takes time to find its new head coach, Kevin Stefanski could be one of the top candidates in the second or third wave of NFL head coach hires after the top candidates go elsewhere.

#1 – Las Vegas Raiders
According to Jay Glazer via The Tennesseean on Sunday, Pete Carroll will be a one-and-done coach. With the Geno Smith experiment going down in flames, a top-to-bottom rebuild is on the books for the franchise.
Kevin Stefanski could be a quality option to help get the team through the first stage of the rebuild. He might not be able to get the team to a Super Bowl on his own, but he could help stabilize the organization as the roster is assembled over the coming years.
