Ahead of their inaugural WNBA season in 2026, the Toronto Tempo are setting the pace with their new uniforms, which were unveiled on Tuesday, December 16.
The Tempo gave fans the first look at their jerseys on their website and social media early Tuesday morning. Included in the launch are their “Tempo Bordeaux” Explorer and white Heroine editions.
Both jerseys feature six “speed lines” down the sides — in light blue (“Borealis Blue,” as the team calls it) on the Explorer jersey and in bordeaux on the Heroine jersey. The lines are thicker near the arm holes, mirroring the lines trailing from the basketball in the Tempo’s primary logo, which was officially unveiled almost exactly one year ago.

These lines represent the six boroughs that make up the fabric of Toronto and the five players on the court supported by the sixth player in the game: the fans. Their movement and variation in thickness mirror the heartbeat, shifts in pace, and rhythm of both the city and the game — a nod to basketball’s natural “tempos” and moments of momentum.

The white jersey has alternating bordeaux and blue stripes around the arm holes and V-neck collar, a pattern that reverses on the bordeaux jersey. It also has “TEMPO” across the chest and an italicized front number, both in bordeaux with white and blue outlines. The bordeaux jersey, meanwhile, has white lettering with bordeaux and blue outlines.

“Today marks another meaningful milestone on our journey to bringing Canada’s first WNBA team to life. Every detail of these uniforms is intentional. From the colour story to the speed lines, we’ve created a design that brings our brand to life and represents our city, our fans, and our team. We cannot wait for our players – and our fans – to wear them with pride.”
— Whitney Bell, chief marketing officer, Toronto Tempo
The backs of the jerseys have the player number in the same style as on the front, only larger, and the player’s name underneath. Under that is the logo of leaguewide sponsor AT&T.

Both jerseys feature the logos of their founding sponsors on the front: makeup retailer Sephora on the left shoulder and bank CIBC under the front number.
The Tempo will open their inaugural WNBA season in May 2026, though a detailed schedule has not yet been announced. They’ll play their home games at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto, but they’re also planning to host games in Montréal and Vancouver in the upcoming season.
The bordeaux Explorer jerseys will be available to purchase in January. Fans can sign up on the Tempo’s website to be notified when they go on sale.
