Tundra Esports trot into grand remaining at Fissure Playground

Tundra Esports blanked Team Falcons 2-0 on Saturday to reach the grand final at the $1 million Fissure Playground #1 event in Belgrade, Serbia.

Playing in the upper-bracket final, Tundra downed the Falcons in 55 minutes on red before prevailing in 27 minutes on green to complete the sweep.

The Falcons can still reach the grand final, but they will have to get through PARIVISION in the lower-bracket final on Sunday.

Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov of Russia led the way for Tundra Esports with an average of 11.0 kills, 3.5 deaths and 7.0 assists.

The Dota tournament began on Jan. 24 with 16 teams competing in the group stage. The top eight teams moved on to the double-elimination playoffs. All playoff matches are best-of-three except for the grand final on Sunday, which will be best-of-five. The championship team will earn $400,000.

PARIVISION reached the lower-bracket final by knocking off Team Spirit 2-0 on Saturday. PARIVISION followed a 43-minute win on red with a 40-minute victory on green.

Team Spirit had their title hopes crushed after picking up some momentum with a 2-0 drubbing of Talon Esports in the lower-bracket quarterfinals.

The playoffs conclude Sunday with two matches:

–Team Falcons vs. PARIVISION (lower-bracket final)

–Tundra Esports vs. winner of lower-bracket final (grand final)
