Tupac Shakur‘s property is laying down the legislation on Drake … threatening to tug him to courtroom for utilizing an AI-generated model of the late rapper’s voice for a diss monitor geared toward Kendrick Lamar.
TMZ has obtained the cease-and-desist letter fired off by the lawyer for Tupac’s property, Howard King, and it calls out Drake for the AI verse on “Taylor Made Freestyle” … saying, “Not only is the record a flagrant violation of Tupac’s publicity and the estate’s legal rights, it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.”
The property goes on to say it will by no means have given approval for this — and it points an ultimatum: take down the monitor in lower than 24 hours, and clarify the way it was made … or else.
Crew Tupac’s legal professionals say they have been licensed to “pursue all of its legal remedies” if they cannot resolve the matter amicably.
