UK corporations delaying new investments in China amidst slowing financial system

A majority of surveyed UK corporations are delaying making new investments in China in accordance with the British Chamber of Commerce in China.

  • Whereas the “peak pessimism” recorded through the pandemic is easing, British companies are delaying making new funding in China amid a stuttering financial restoration and are downgrading the significance of the world’s No. 2 financial system to their world operations
  • “In previous years, 80% (of firms) were investing more because of market potential, but it feels like we’re now entering a phase of real clarity,” Julian Fisher, the chamber’s chair mentioned. “(Firms) are a lot more pragmatic and there’s a lot less speculation,”
