UK tech darling Darktrace rallies after agreeing $5.32 billion sale to personal fairness agency Thoma Bravo

LONDON — British cybersecurity agency Darktrace on Friday introduced it had agreed a sale to U.S. non-public fairness big Thoma Bravo, for an all-cash provide of $5.315 million.

Darktrace shares have been 17.% increased at 10:26 a.m. London time.

The transfer shall be seen as a significant blow to the London Inventory Change. In 2021, Darktrace listed, the place it was seen as a welcome tech-focused addition for a market typically characterised as stacked with “old economy” gamers, akin to miners and oil and gasoline corporations.

Darktrace traders are set to obtain $7.75 in money for every share held, below the phrases beneficial by the board.
