The American consumer isn’t tapped out yet.
United Airlines said it expects more than 5 million Americans to fly over the July 4 holiday, in what would be a record for travel in the period.
That’s a good sign for the health of consumer wallets and for jet fuel demand. UAL also says it expects this year’s summer travel season to be stronger than last year.
