A major name will be leaving WWE after the end of their 320 day title run. We now have backstage reactions to the news.
The star in question is none other than Laynie Luck. It was reported earlier today that Luck would be let go from WWE as her contract would not be renewed. She recently lost the ID women’s championship to Monica Monroe ending her run with the title for nearly a year.
Thanks for the submission!
Fightful Select is now reporting that sources within the company were surprised at the decision to let go of Laynie. The report also states that promoters spoke highly of Laynie as she was willing to work with anyone and also guide them through the match if there was a need.
They also stated that because Evolve’s taping schedule is still not up to date, we will be seeing Laynie Luck on the program for the foreseeable future.
Laynie Luck breaks silence after WWE release
In the wake of Laynie Luck being released from her WWE contract, the former ID women’s champion took to X, formerly Twitter to break her silence. She took the news positively and was adamant that it was her turn to be the hottest free agent. She also admitted that everything will work out for her in the end.
“My turn to be the hottest free agent, i am a lucky girl and everything will work out for me,” she wrote.
It is clear to see that Laynie Luck does not lack any confidence in her abilities whatsoever. Given the amount of interest there will be in someone of her caliber, it is only a matter of time before she is snapped by other wrestling companies.
She put on some great matches during her time in Evolve and her 320 day title reign was testament of that. It will be interesting to see where she will end up in the days ahead.
