US – Iran nuclear talks scheduled for Sunday trying much less and fewer seemingly (d'uh)

Reports are that a US official has said it’s looking less and less likely that the sixth round of nuclear talks between the U.S. and Iran will go ahead as scheduled on Sunday in Oman.

Given developments on Wednesday this is not surprising

• U.S. evacuating personnel from the Middle East amid growing tensions with Iran

• Oil jumps after Trump says he’s “much less confident in Iran deal”

• Iran’s Mission to UN: Diplomacy not militarism is the only path forward.

The persistent rise in oil prices seems indicative of no reduction in tension any time soon.
