In the run-up to the United States’ semiquincentennial this summer, San Antonio FC has decided to wear their American pride on their sleeves with a new third jersey.
Earlier this week, the USL Championship side unveiled the jersey, made by Charly, and it’ll make its on-field debut on Saturday, June 13, when they travel to Kentucky to take on Lexington SC.
The base of the jersey is “classic American-flag blue,” according to a press release, with distorted tonal stars streaking across the front. The sleeves are white, and white piping runs along the collarbones. Both the V-neck collar and the sleeve cuffs are red with two white stripes and a blue outer stripe. The club crest appears in full colour on the left chest, with a white Charly logo on the opposite side.

“With the world’s biggest soccer tournament taking place in the United States this summer, this kit is a unique way to celebrate this historic moment for our sport and the growing impact of the game all across our country.”
— Jose Lizardo, senior director, Toyota Field and Ricos STAR Soccer Complex.
The jerseys will be paired with white shorts that feature blue accents and blue socks.

“With this third kit, we wanted to give San Antonio FC the opportunity to celebrate their rich American heritage,” added Charly sports marketing director Mauricio Rodriguez Vallejo. “It’s not only a perfect kit for the summer, but it times well with the global competitions beginning next week.”
The jersey is already available for fans to purchase on San Antonio FC’s online shop.
SAFC’s next home game is fittingly on Saturday, July 4, when they take on Monterey Bay FC at Toyota Field.
