The Hurt Syndicate could add a viral star to their group, who will also reunite with Bobby Lashley after several years. The star operated as Lashley’s manager during their time together in the WWE.
The Hurt Syndicate was formed after MVP made his move to All Elite Wrestling in 2024 and was later joined by his former Hurt Business stablemates Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin. The faction absolutely dominated for months as the AEW World Tag Team Champions. Meanwhile, the viral star, Lio Rush could also be added to the group.
Lio Rush was a manager for The All-Mighty during their time together in the WWE nearly 7 years ago, so it would be a nice reunion of sorts. After months of absence, Hurt Syndicate made their TV return on Collision last Thursday, where MVP announced that the group will be recruiting new members now.
Lio Rush could be the new member of the Syndicate, as he gained a lot of notoriety with his recent viral video, in which he showcased his new ‘Gollum’ type gimmick. The clip of his new mannerisms got millions of views on social media. In order to bank on his popularity, AEW could add Lio Rush to a dominant faction like the Hurt Syndicate.
Lio Rush joining the Hurt Syndicate would also give him the much-needed momentum in his otherwise underwhelming All Elite run. Lio could also rise in the ranks and learn a lot by being associated with veterans like Bobby, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin.
Bobby Lashley is healed and ready to go
Bobby Lashley last competed in the Casino Gauntlet for the AEW National title at Full Gear 2025. He had been out of action due to injury ever since. Speaking with Monopoly Events recently, Lashley revealed that he is healed and is ready to return to action:
“Right now, they’re pulling me up. They’re yanking me back in and saying, ‘It’s time. We’re ready to get back out there and win some titles.’ I’m healed. Everybody thought I was hurt — I’m not hurt. You can’t hurt the Almighty. Ready to go,” said Bobby.
Fans will have to wait and see when Bobby Lashley will return to in-ring action alongside The Hurt Syndicate.
