Warframe: Iceblade of Narin replace launch window, and recognized options

Iceblade of Narin is the upcoming fall 2026 Warframe update, bringing the titular Narin as the 66th Unique Warframe. It’s become a tradition for the Tenno to have a fall update of similar scope, except like the last two years, this one was announced right away in TennoCon. It does keep the tradition of being a mostly QoL-focused update, though.

While the finer details of its content remain to be revealed through upcoming Devstreams, we do know the big features coming in this one.

When is Warframe Iceblade of Narin update going to release?

Iceblade of Narin was announced as the resident fall update during the TennoCon 2026 TennoLive panel. As usual, we don’t have concrete release date yet (which will likely get revealed in Devstream 197).

Considering that a smaller-scope is coming this August as Amir’s Shockwave, Iceblade of Narin’s likely release window will be sometime between late September and early October.

The revelatory dev-vlog for this takes place on the Seoul TennoVIP on September 4, and this one won’t be a two-parter like the feature breakdown fpr the Jade Stars or Vallis Undermind updates were. In other words, my guess for a more specific release window would be the first week of October if not before that.

What’s coming to Warframe in Iceblade of Narin

As I’ve mentioned before, precious little is known about the update right now (tune after September 4 to see this page get populated with more info). The broader strokes, as they stand, are:

  • Narin, the 66th Unique Warframe: Narin will be the first Cold-based female Warframe, and the second-ever to be dedicated towards icy stuff at all. It has been over a decade since Frost was released, so her kit will have some “new twists”, as Design Director Pablo Alonso commented during TennoLive this year. The actual kit, though, remains to be seen. My guess would be that this is an agile high-octane frame more comparable to Gyre, because that archetype hasn’t been explored in a while now.
  • It’s likely that some new quest/permanent node or content is coming too, based on the key art.
  • Banshee Rework: Banshee has not been touched up in about a decade. Regardless, Banshee is a numerically strong damage-dealing Warframe (thanks mostly to Sonar) locked away behind various other problems of having a dated kit. The idea of the rework is to make her more accessible (being one of the least-used Warframes in the last few years), but it will be more hands-on than the Trinity rework, for example. At the moment, the only concrete info we have (from Devshorts 112) is that: one, an Augment mod is becoming native to its ability (likely Sonic Boom and its armor-strip), and two: Banshee’s abilities are likely becoming one-handed non-restrictive casts that can be done while reloading weapons, wall-running and so on.
  • Citrine Prime: Breaking a potential return to the MMFF Prime release sequence once again, Citrine is going to be the next Prime. That leaves Kullervo Prime out for a January 2027 release, most possibly.
  • New Qorvex Deluxe and Banshee Deluxe skin (the existing Banshee Deluxe is nearly a decade-old at this point, too).

As expected of a fall update, we should also be getting a bunch of other QoL fixes that haven’t been revealed yet. One of those are possibly the proposed EDA/ETA changes from DevShorts 111, making it far more palatable to use loadout-suggested gear.
