Washington Wizards’ 2025-26 City Edition Shorts Leak – Sports activitiesLogos.Net News

The Washington Wizards’ 2025-26 City Edition shorts were leaked this week by a familiar source, confirming our suspicion that they would recolor their 2021-22 design.

Those blue uniforms were heavily inspired by the franchise’s history as the Baltimore/Capital/Washington Bullets (1963-97), with red and blue horizontal stripes across the front of the jersey.

They also displayed their current wordmark and 1997-2011 number font, which were both white and outlined in gold as a nod to the uniforms worn during the Michael Jordan and Gilbert Arenas era.

The shorts, meanwhile, had thick red stripes outlined in white down the sides, with the Wizards’ current “DC” hands logo on one side and a 1997-2011-inspired “DMV” logo on the other. There was also the current monument ball logo on the red waistband.

The uniforms were complete with a tribute to Hall of Famer Wes Unseld, with his No. 41 and signature display above the jock tag and five stars below it, recognizing his five All-Star selections.

The leaked shorts follow that same design, though they’re rendered in a gold, black and white scheme, reminiscent of Washington’s 2006-09 alternate uniforms, which featured gold jerseys with black and white stripes on the shoulders and black shorts.

That means the corresponding jerseys will be primarily gold with black and gold horizontal stripes. It’ll also feature a “Washington” wordmark and numbers outlined in black, as well as white trim around the collar and arm holes.

The leak, which was posted to Instagram by user __2hands_shop__, falls in line with the collage the NBA shared on social media last week that included a piece of every team’s planned City Edition wordmark or number font.
