Mick Foley’s much-anticipated AEW debut at Double or Nothing 2026 ended with the Hardcore legend getting attacked by a top star.
The aforementioned star is MJF. During the Double or Nothing 2026 Buy-In that aired before the main show, Mick Foley joined Renee Paquette as the co-host. He came to the ring to the huge ovation of the fans who were enthralled to see him in an All Elite Wrestling landscape. However, the former WWE Champion was interrupted by MJF, the man who will square off against Darby Allin in a ‘Hair vs Title ‘ match later that night.
The Salt of the Earth showed no remorse for the WWE Hall of Famer and berated him for losing a lot of matches. Foley fired back and said that although he lost a lot of matches, he was never defeated under 2:15, the time Allin took to beat MJF for the AEW World Championship last month. The Hardcore legend praised Maxwell as a top star, but claimed that tonight he will lose to Allin again and his hair will be gone.
This infuriated Big Hebrew to the point that he low-blowed Foley, who went down to the mat. However, Darby Allin came to his aid as MJF retreated. As the segment came to a close, Foley endorsed the Invisible Man and asked him to win the match for people who believed in wrestlers like Allin and himself.
Mick Foley claims AEW is the reason he fell in love with wrestling again
Before the fiasco with MJF went down, Mick Foley made the revelation that he had taken a break from watching wrestling for years. However, it was AEW who made him fall in love with the sport again.
“I’ve had a long love affair with wrestling. A couple of years ago I took a little break, and I started watching again, and this company is the reason I fell in love all over again.”
With the former WWE Champion’s AEW debut in the books, it remains to be seen how the company will utilize him moving forward.
