Top Hollywood stars and several prominent faces turned up at Arthur Ashe Stadium to enjoy Ben Shelton’s historic US Open final encounter against the 2026 French Open champion Alexander Zverev on Sunday afternoon.
Pierce Brosnan, famously known for playing James Bond on the silver screen, appeared on the screen, sitting in the front row. Three of T&C’s September cover stars, Karl-Anthony Towns, Martha Stewart, and Chase Sui Wonders, were spotted at the venue alongside Lesley Manville, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and more A-Listers.

Courteney Cox, who rose to fame with the American comedy sitcom FRIENDS, arrived at the stadium in an all-white outfit to witness the gripping spectacle.
American record producer and Selena Gomez’s husband Benny Blanco took the seat behind Katie Holmes and Martha Stewart. Singer P!NK arrived at Arthur Ashe with her son Jameson Moon Hart to witness the promising clash.
Chris Pine, Katie Holmes, Jason Bard Yarmosky, Lauren Bush Lauren, David Lauren and Tyriq Withers were among other prominent stars present at the venue to watch the battle.
Ben Shelton has America believing once again before the US Open final
Ben Shelton had to walk a tough road to find his way to the final at Flushing Meadows. He figured out a way to outlast Carlos Alcaraz in a five-set marathon in the last eight.
He clawed back against fellow American Frances Tiafoe in the semifinals to set up the blockbuster clash. After booking his place, the 23-year-old southpaw had one simple message for the home crowd.
“I’m going for it. I’m going to leave it all on the court. I hope you guys come and back me, let’s do this for the U.S. It’s a lot of emotion,” Ben Shelton said.
He then highlighted the sacrifices his parents made to help him attain the height he has in his career. Shelton paid special tribute to his grandmother Regina Ann, who played a fundamental role in shaping his father, Corey’s career.
“My dad and my mom have sacrificed a lot for me to be in this position today. My dad lost his mom earlier this year and she’s the reason he was able to play tennis. Without her there’s no Ben Shelton standing here today. This one is for her,” he added.
Ben Shelton would need to deliver a special performance in his maiden Grand Slam appearance to trounce Alexander Zverev. Shelton is winless against the German in all of his five meetings.
