Real Madrid fans have mocked Barcelona midfielder Pedri after he was left out of the starting XI for Spain against England. The world champions are back in action for the first time since their FIFA World Cup triumph from this summer, and they are up against the side that finished third.
Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has chosen to trust the same midfield that saw out the latter stages of the World Cup in North America. He has fielded the trio of captain Rodri, Fabian Ruiz, and Dani Olmo, once again leaving out Barcelona man Pedri.

Real Madrid fans were amused by the coach’s decision to leave out Pedri, who is regarded as one of the best in the world by his club’s fans. The Blaugrana fans were displeased to learn that the 23-year-old had been left out of the 30-man Ballon d’Or shortlist earlier this month, as well.
The jest of the Spanish midfielder was carried out on X by rival club fans, who brutally mocked him. One fan was surprised that he no longer starts for La Roja.
Another fan laughed at the fact that Ferran Torres made the XI before Pedri.

Barcelona star Pedri started for Spain at the start of the World Cup, but was soon dropped from the XI as De la Fuente sought something different. He will have to work hard to dislodge Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ruiz from the coach’s preferred XI, going forward.

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has escaped serious injury and is expected to return to action after the international break, as per reports. The 27-year-old was forced off in the second half of France’s UEFA Nations League win over Turkey, a game in which he scored the only goal.
According to Fabrizio Romano, a two-week absence is expected for the forward, after which he will be back to fitness. His injury absence coincides with the remainder of the international break, and he has been released from the French camp for their remaining games.
Mbappe was feared to be out of El Clasico against Barcelona, which will take place on October 25 at the Spotify Camp Nou. Barring any setbacks of further injuries, he will be available to play for Real Madrid against the reigning champions in that game.
