West Virginia unveiled new uniforms over the weekend that pay homage to completely different eras of Mountaineer soccer whereas sustaining just a few fashionable touches.
“In developing our new uniforms, it was important for us to incorporate our rich history and tradition with modern technology,” athletic director Wren Baker said in a press release.
“We also wanted people instantly to recognize that the West Virginia Mountaineers were playing. I believe our design team and equipment staff along with our partners at Nike did a great job with these uniforms.”
The uniforms, that are on Nike’s Vapor F.U.S.E. template, function the Flying “WV” emblem on the sleeves of the navy blue dwelling, white street and gold alternate jerseys for the primary time since 2012.
In addition they embrace a crescent-shaped stripe on the shoulders, a design that was made well-known by the likes of Pat White, Geno Smith, Steve Slaton, Noel Devine, Tavon Austin and Owen Schmitt.
