Jake Hager criticized Tony Khan’s booking in one of his interviews post-AEW exit
Jake Hager is bitter with Tony Khan since his exit from All Elite Wrestling. He openly criticized the AEW President for his booking methods with sharp comments in his interview. In one of his comments, Hager said that the wrestlers cannot trust someone like Tony to shape their careers in professional wrestling as a creative booker.
Speaking on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Hager said that Khan cannot write a storyline in AEW that has the potential to last for long. He went on to say that the AEW stars are his playthings, and he is just messing with them until he wants.
“Tony Khan, who has been in this business for a cup of coffee can’t make himself a sandwich let alone write a storyline that will last. He can spend a lot of money and make a big debut and make a lot of firework but in the end run he is in charge and we’re supposed to trust him to make storylines that make our careers. We became his little playthings,” said Hager.
Moreover, the former WWE star added that Khan wants the people who agree with him around him. Those who are not on board with his plans are not in his good books. Well, these comments show Hager’s frustration with Khan. Only time will tell where this heat will lead from here on.
