In the European session, we have a lot of tier one economic releases for the Eurozone but the data won’t change anything for the ECB. In order: we get the Spanish CPI, the German Q3 GDP, the German states’ CPI, the Italian Q3 GDP, the Eurozone Q3 GDP, the Eurozone unemployment rate and lastly the German CPI.
We have also the ECB policy decision today but it’s going to be a non-event as the central bank will leave everything unchanged and offer limited forward guidance. We already heard from many ECB members that they are fine with the current monetary policy and the next move can be either a cut or a hike, but they won’t adjust policy on small or short-term deviations from their target.
In the American session, we don’t have anything on the agenda other than a couple of Fed speakers.
Lastly, we get earnings from Apple and Amazon after the market close.
Central bank speakers:
- 13:55 GMT/09:55 ET – Fed’s Bowman (dove – voter)
- 17:15 GMT/13:15 ET – Fed’s Logan (hawkish – voter in 2026)
