When will Cristiano Ronaldo return to motion for Al-Nassr? Report makes declare on size of absence after Spain journey

Reports from Saudi Arabia have provided a timeline for Cristiano Ronaldo‘s return to action for Al-Nassr after his hamstring injury. The 41-year-old left Riyadh for Madrid to seek treatment on his injured hamstring following his injury against Al-Fayha two weeks ago.

According to Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat (via kooora.com), Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury will keep him out for one more game after his treatment in Madrid. He will return to Riyadh at the end of the international break later this month to prepare for a return to the pitch.

Ronaldo will likely return to action for the Knights of Najd when they host strugglers Al-Najma at the Al-Awwal Park on April 3rd. Both sides recently faced off, with the Portugal international scoring once and assisting another in a comprehensive 5-0 win for his side.

These reports indicate that Ronaldo will not return to fitness until next month, meaning that he will not be part of Portugal’s last camp before the FIFA World Cup. The Selecao are due to take on Mexico and the USMNT in a pair of friendly games, the second of which was touted as Ronaldo’s first in the USA since 2014.

Al-Nassr will be without their talismanic captain for their league game against Al-Khaleej this weekend due to his injury. He watched on from his base in Madrid as Mohamed Simakan netted a last-gasp winner against Neom SC in their league game last week.

Cristiano Ronaldo had fired Al-Nassr to the summit of the Saudi Pro League before his injury, a status they have maintained so far. The Real Madrid legend has scored 21 goals in 22 league appearances so far this season.

Vinicius Jr matches Cristiano Ronaldo’s records in Real Madrid win

Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr emulated club legend Cristiano Ronaldo as his side claimed a 3-0 win over Manchester City in their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. The Brazil international was influential in the game, providing an assist for the second goal by Federico Valverde.

Vinicius Jr’s assist for Valverde in the 27th minute was the 31st time he set up a teammate to score in the UEFA Champions League for Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo held the record for most assists for the club in the competition with 31, a tally Vinicius Jr has now reached.

In the second half, the 25-year-old was fouled by City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and won a penalty. He saw his kick saved by the Italy international, equalling Ronaldo’s tally of penalty misses (two) in the competition for the club.
