Matt Hardy has just gone off on a top AEW star. He was not happy with some of this star’s comments.
Dax Harwood is known for being very outspoken, even on social media. If he has an opinion about something, he is ready to share it with the world. Therefore, he recently took to social media to talk about Dave Melter’s match rating system. He came out in support of Dave, stating that his match ratings are only based on Dave’s opinion, and people shouldn’t get triggered by it so much.
Matt Hardy thought that Dax Harwood was taking a shot at him since he recently said that he wants TNA Wrestling to focus on storytelling instead of five-star matches. Therefore, Matt addressed Dax’s comments, saying he cares less about five-star matches the older he gets and is more focused on how his matches make people feel. He also noted that AEW emphasizes matches more than storytelling, but he wants the company to succeed since it is good for the industry.
“I think, on wrestling twitter, if you’re gonna decide to moan about someone’s take, you should @ them, @DaxFTR. I also think, the older I get, I give less than a f**k about what someone on the internet thinks a 5 star match is. What I care about what our matches are drawing at the box office & how they make people feel. I enjoy FTR’s work ethic & talent. I also think @AEW emphases “matches” more than “story/character/emotional investment” & it makes it challenging to grow your audience from a niche core – Which is MY opinion. I want AEW to succeed, it’s good for the industry. I love & enjoy great matches that get me emotionally invested. I don’t (secretly) wish I “had 5 stars matches.” Whatever a 5 star match even is. Who’s wrong? Who’s right? Who gives a f**k? As long as we all enjoy wrestling! (Your words in this same thread)”

Dax Harwood responded to Matt Hardy’s comment
Dax Harwood is not one to keep quiet, especially if someone goes off on him on social. Therefore, he wasted no time replying to Matt Hardy’s tweet.
In his response, Dax Harwood told Matt Hardy that the former’s earlier comment was not about him. He also noted that he’s only ever had good things to say about Matt and Jeff Hardy and believed they had a great relationship until today.
“Matt, I have no idea what you’re talking about, why you think this is about you, or why you’re so upset with me. I’ve only EVER had good things to say about you & your brother and what you’ve meant to tag team wrestling. I thought, until today, we always had a great relationship.”
