Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to play as Frozen Pizzas – SportsLogos.Net News

Pizza lovers love to argue about where you find the best pizza—New York? Chicago? Maybe even Los Angeles? But hardly anyone argues about what’s the best place for really terrible pizza.

The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, High-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers in the Midwest League, have staked their home state’s claim to that title with the unveiling of a new alternate identity, the Wisconsin Frozen Pizzas. To affirm the state’s title as the “Frozen Pizza Capital of the World,” the Timber Rattlers remind us:

  • Per capita, residents of Wisconsin eat more frozen pizza than any other state in the nation
  • Five of the largest frozen pizza brands were established in and still thrive in Wisconsin
  • Grocery stores in the state carry up to 50 brands of frozen pizza
  • Wisconsin’s frozen pizza dominance can be attributed to its cheese production and delicious, delicious “manufacturing know-how”

The logo features an anthropomorphic toaster oven and pizza slice, each tinged with icy goodness. A type-based logo sets the text “FROZEN PIZZAS” with a pizza cutter standing in for the I of PIZZAS (which is kind of reminiscent of the bouncing lamp in the Pixar logo).

Some of the branding for this alternate identity debuted off the field in 2021 for the team’s Frozen Pizza Throwdown, but the first time it appears on the field will be this season on Saturday, July 12.
